 Richard M. Sharpe
Richard M. Sharpe is Vice President & General Manager for the Consumables Management Segment, where he leads all aspects of the business towards achievement of strategic and financial performance objectives; maintains and enhances the group's leadership position in the industry; and captures synergies between his business segment and the rest of the company.
Mr. Sharpe joined B/E Aerospace in May 2009 as Executive Vice President & COO. Prior to joining B/E, he served as Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing of Alcoa Fastening Systems. He was with Alcoa Fastening Systems and its predecessor companies for over 12 years, and held various senior level positions of increasing responsibility in operations, business development and sales.
Prior to that, Mr. Sharpe served as a member of the U.S. Air Force for 15 years as an F-15 fighter pilot, Flight Commander, and Fighter Program Manager where he managed the F-15 training program and initial training and deployment plan for the F/A-22. He received numerous awards and decorations for his outstanding performance including Meritorious Service Medal for total redesign of the F-15 training program, Top Flight Commander, and Squadron Top Gun.
Mr. Sharpe graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.
