aeroFIBERTM - Rockwell Collins

The basics done right.

The aeroFIBERTM family is comprised of sandwich panels with a Nomex® honeycomb core and fiberglass skin. Dependent upon the panel application, a woven fiberglass with a phenolic or epoxy resin is possible. Primarily used on aircraft interiors including monuments, partitions and ceiling panels, the fiberglass panels feature a combination of light weight with high strength, durability and corrosion resistance. The phenolic fiberglass panels provide superior flammability properties, heat release and low smoke emissions facilitating use in aircraft interiors.

    • Available in multiple sheet sizes from 48” x 96” up to 60” to 144” (additional size options are available upon request through the aeroADDTM family)
    • Capability to produce panels at a thickness tolerance of ± 0.010”
    • Can be designed to meet all requirements of FAA CFR 25.853 Appendix F: Part I – 60 sec vertical; Part IV – OSU Heat Release; Part V – NBS Smoke Emission
    • Uses Nomex® core that meets the AMS-C-81986
    • Materials used in the aeroFIBERTM family are in accordance with industry standards for mechanical strength properties
    • Minimum average Peel Strength of 6 in. lb/in with the capability of achieving values of 10 for select panels
    • Corrosion resistance
    • Service temperature: -67°F (-49°C) to 180°F (82°C)
